Makkah Properties now Available To Brunei Buyers

Bandar Seri Begawan - Bruneians are welcome to own properties currently being developed fronting the Holy Mosque or Masjidil Haram in Mecca.

Roslan Omar and Anwar Ali, the Directors of Oasis Properties Pte Ltd, said the company is marketing properties at three developments in Mecca for interested buyers in Southeast Asia, including Brunei Darussalam.

They added that Muslims from this country can also own residential suites and commercial spaces in Abraj alBait Shopping Complex - a complex of seven luxurious towers about 100 metres from the Holy Mosque in Mecca which has been fully completed.

They can also buy residential suites at Hajar Tower which will be fully ready by the end of next year. "Another development, the ZamZam Tower is marketed under a time-sharing scheme or Sokouk Al-Intifa'a."

"The three properties are located at one giant complex that will house seven skyscrapers including one high-rise which is higher than the Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur," they said.

Built for the purpose of benefiting the two Holy Mosques in Mecca and Medina, all the profits from this project after 24 years will be used for the endowment of the two mosques, said Roslan.

They added that the 1.4 million square metre project is developed by a developer in Saudi Arabia on a wakaf (donated) land worth US$ 2 billion. Oasis Properties is the principal marketing agent in Southeast Asia for the three developments.

Roslan can be contacted at the office of Oasis Properties Pte Ltd at 371 Beach Road #05-02/03 Keypoint Singapore 199597 (Telephone: +65 6392 1474, Fax: +65 6392 1631 Handphone: +65 9175 7611 and email: roslan@oasisproperties.com or brunei@oasis-properties.com.

He said the lowest price is $15,000 for seven-night stay in any year in a studio-type unit. "The highest is $1,050,000 for a Royal Suite that can ' accommodate eight persons during any Haj season for 44 nights in one year," he said.

For the Hajar Tower, buyers have the right to stay for 25 years. The price of one unit or apartment from floor 21 to 23 is around $33.000.000.

He said units at the Abraj al-Bait Shopping Complex cost $4,950 per square metre. "It is definitely a good investment since more than six million Muslims visit Mecca in one year," he said. -- Courtesy of Borneo Bulletin
