We are five Bangladeshi Transmission Line Engnineers working home and abroad (BD, UK and AU) thinking to implement something beneficial for Bangladesh in Transmission line engineering.

Our plan is to establish some entity in Bangladesh within next 2 yrs (2012 or 13) like an consultancy establishment. Not only as engineering design but as JV with any contruction company to form some sort of EPCM (Engineering, Procurement, Construction and Maintenance) company.

The best way I was thinking is to start discussing with any Bangladeshi contractor so that they can submit a full design and supply contract Bid without any foreign company's involvement. Regarding the supply contract for tower material, GA drawing, Shop drawing, fittings, conductor/opgw....I have now quite an extensive contact network to help preparing a bid offer. Also, design (including line and structure), I also think we will be able to give a full support to a BD company to participate in international bid as a sole BD company from detailed design to construction support engineering.

We get some sort of assurance from different companies and have some MOU and then form a company. So we need finance only after having some assured Design and Construction contract. For a good start we need an Independent financer.
