Ocean Chew - A novel marine biotech project in India needs venture capital

Millennium Exports is a company located in South India has developed a few marine based products like FISH LEATHER, HALAL GELATIN from fish etc. We are presently exporting dog collars, leashes and pet carriers made of genuine leather and fish leather made of Ray fish skin. Now we have developed a novel marine biotech product from fish waste using simple process. The product is OCEAN CHEW. This is a pet treat (dog chew) made out of fish waste. The rationale behind the project is converting waste or low value product of one industry into a high end important exportable commodity of another industry through value addition. In this project waste of marine industry is converted into a high value product of pet animal industry. We are looking for a venture capital or a joint venture in this project.

This novel product is developed after two years of R&D. The product is approved in US and Europe and the company has orders. The total cost of the project is less than US$ 400,000. The business is expected to yield a profit margin of over 50%. Since we are the first in the world to develop this product, we have an early bird advantage in marketing. Other projects in the pipeline are Halal Gelatin and Pet Animal Food from fish.
