The following list contains sites that provide reference materialon Islam.

  • Islam-Online.Net General information site on Islam, in several languages.
  • IslamWeb Sponsored by the Government of Qatar. Offers a lot of information on Islam, including the Quran and Hadith, as well as an extensive library (although hard to navigate a book there). The Hadith is in Arabic and English (sub set only). The Arabic Hadith includes the "Six books" and other Sunnah compendiums, and is in searchable format.
  • Al-Islam.com This is a showcase site by Harf Information Technology, a leading developer of several multi-lingual Islamic software packages, as well as many Islamic web sites. The site contains plenty of Islamic information in many languages that are not often found in other Islamic sites (English, Arabic, French, German, Turkish, Malay, Indonesian). You can find a lot of information on Quran, Hadith, Fiqh (Islamic Jurisprudence), Islamic Dictionary, Fatwas, and more.
  • Al-Eman.com Library This site has lots of reference books in Arabic, with search capability.
  • AlWaraq.com Library Over 500 Arabic books and a million pages of references from various eras and branches of knowledge.
  • Islam.org This is a site containing general information on Islam, the entire text of the Quran in several languages, and audio recitations, in the voice of Sheikh Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husari as well.
  • Al Muhaddith Web site A very comprehensive site containing many free books (you can also download them and make a CD out of them). The books are:
    • Arabic Books - Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, Dictionary Al Quran, Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abu Dawoud, Kanz Al 'Ummaal, Riyadh us Salihin, Majma Al Amthaal, Tafsir Al Manaam, and much more. Classic Scholars: Ibn Katheer, Suyouti, Shafii, Hanafi, Nawawi, Imam Ahmad, Imam Malik, Nasai, Ibn Maajah, Tirmizhi. Lexicons: Hadith Terms, Qur'an Vocabulary, Grammar Dictionary, Encyclopedia, Islamic History, Biography of Muhammad PBUH, Biography of Companions, Reference books and authors, Arabic/English Dictionary.
    • English Translations Quran: Meanings of the Holy Quran (Yusuf Ali), Glorious Qur'an (Marmaduke Pickthall), Surah's information (Mawdudi). Hadith: Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Malik's Muwatta, 40 Hadeeth Qudsi. Fiqh: Fiqh-us-Sunnah by Sayyid Saabiq, Reliance of the Traveler (Shafii Fiqh).
